Protect MI Pollinators
Become a Pollinator Protector
West Michigan's bees and butterflies need you. Not just your support. Your yard.
In 2026, we're celebrating the Year of the Pollinator, and we're looking for 100 people across West Michigan ready to do something real: support the transformation of yards into pollinator havens.
When you join Protect MI Pollinators for $8/month (or a one-time $95), you'll receive pollinator-friendly seeds and bulbs twice a year, every spring and fall, to keep your yard growing and blooming season after season. Your Pollinator Protection Kit will include a variety of wildflower seeds, clover seed, flower bulbs and simple guidance for growing a chemical-free yard that feeds and shelters the bees and butterflies our ecosystem depends on.
Each Pollinator Protector supports more than 60,000 square feet of pollinator-friendly yard space across West Michigan. When 100 of us commit together, we’ll be able to create more than 8 million square feet of connected pollinator habitat, giving our region a buzzing, blooming network of yards from Kent County to the lakeshore.
And your impact doesn't stop at your property line. As the campaign grows, your gift will also help plant trees in monarch sanctuaries in Mexico, fund a University of Michigan scholarship for the next generation of environmental scientists and support family farms that use safe, organic methods.
This isn't about just giving money to an environmental organization. It's about looking at your yard and seeing possibility. Clover instead of chemicals. Wildflowers instead of wasted space. A patch of West Michigan you’ll grow, and that bees and butterflies can depend on.
Individual action, collectively, can change the world!
